ASRC Federal - Vistronix is currently seeking a System Integration Technician for a role on one of our subcontracts.  This full time position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an engaging, high-tech development environment, working with an excellent team and customer base. 

 

Qualifications

The Network Engineer shall have the following labor category qualifications:

  • Five years experience integrating systems using multiple operating systems (Solaris, Linux, and Windows) and developing and implementing test plans and test scripts; Experience performing all aspects of the integration and test of the system including installing the hardware into the racks, labeling cables, running cables, building the system to drawing package, quality assurance, loading operating system, loading applications, and all levels of testing in regard to the system.
  • Associate's Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree or equivalent documented combination of training and experience.

Job Specific Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years integrating systems using multiple operating systems (Solaris, Linux, and Windows) and developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
  • Experience performing all aspects of the integration and test of the system including installing the hardware into the racks, labeling cables, running cables, building the system to the drawing package, quality assurance, loading operating system, loading applications, and all levels of testing in regard to the system.
  • Experience terminating Cat 5 and creating fiber patch cables.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on lab environment.
  • Candidate will be able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs as required to move equipment around the labs, and warehouse spaces.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with hardware devices and network components.
  • Travel is required

Job Specific Preferred Experience:

  • A+ Certification
  • Network+ Certification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

This position requires an active Security Clearance.

 

Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph.  Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
