ASRC Federal - Vistronix is currently seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer for a role on one of our subcontracts.  This full time position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an engaging, high-tech development environment, working with an excellent team and customer base. 

 

Qualifications

The candidate must meet the following labor catagory qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience as an ISSO in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity to include experience in at least one (1) of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools.  
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.  Four (4) additional years of experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.  
  • Provided support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Assisted in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they met security requirements for processing classified information.

  • Assisted with the CM for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Assisted with preparation and maintenance of documentation.
  • Maintained records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, etc. to include system upgrades.
  • Evaluated security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.

  • Proposed, coordinated, implemented, and enforced information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

  • Maintained operational security posture for an information system or program.

  • Provided support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program, or enclave.

  • Developed and maintained documentation for C&A in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies.

  • Developed and updated the system security plan and other IA documentation.

  • Provided CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.  

  • Assisted with the management of security aspects of the information system and performed day-to-day security operations of the system.

  • Developed system security policy and ensured compliance.

  • Administered the user identification and authentication mechanism of the information system. 

This position requires an active Security Clearance.

 

Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph.  Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
