ASRC Federal - Vistronix is currently seeking an experienced Software Enigneer for a role on one of our subcontracts.  This full time position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an engaging, high-tech development environment, working with an excellent team and customer base. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 2-5 years of applicable software design and development experience or 5-8 years of applicable software design and development experience.

  • XML/XSD experience.

  • Linux/Unix experience.

  • C++ or Java development experience.

  • Direct experience with CM tools such as Subversion/Trac or Git.

  • Direct experience in the development of collection systems and components within the IC.

  • Scripting language experience such as Python or Perl.

  • Graphical User Interface development experience.

  • Web framework experience such as Ruby on Rails, Django, SpringFramework, or Zope.

  • Direct experience with middleware technologies such as enterprise service bus (ESB), CORBA, or Internet Communications Engine (ICE).

  • Experience using IDEs such as JBuilder and/or Eclipse (preferred).

Job Specific Tools:

  • Create, debug, and maintain components, devices, waveforms, and system software.
  • Familiar with agile software development process.
  • Basic Linux administration: starting/stopping services, managing drive space. Knowledge of RPM spec files and how to build RPMs.
  • RPM install process, Atlassian Tool Suite, Jenkins, Docker, and Gitlab: CI and multirunner. Knowledge of RF front hardware is a plus.

  • Linux based development (mainly 6&7)

This position requires an active Security Clearance.

 

Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph.  Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
