We are currently seeking Systems Analysts to work on-site in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

 

  • Systems design, data modeling and technical specifications for complex, integrated government systems which include numerous feeders crossing agency boundaries.
  • Data analysis and data modeling ensuring data integration across systems.
  • Designing systems using a service oriented architecture (including security components).
  • Designing systems utilizing a variety of cloud services and technologies including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
  • Providing feasibility feedback and identification of errors and omissions in business requirements and collaborating with business analysts and business sponsors to resolve related issues.
  • Interact constructively with development, quality assurance and operations teams.
  • Collaborating with other system analysts.
  • Assisting business experts in defining requirements and solutions appropriate for the data and environment.
  • Developing interface diagrams.
  • The candidate will have prior work experience as a software developer and be fluent in writing SQL queries.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Computer Science or Information Technology degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Experience with AWS cloud architecture and components.
  • Prior experience as a software developer.
  • Prior experience with data modeling and/or data base administration.
  • Experience with SOA and writing web service specifications.
  • Design or Analysis experience in a government environment preferred.
  • Experience with designing for a distributed architecture.
  • Strong writing, modeling skills for detailed specification documentation.
  • Applying sound judgment and tact in complex projects.
  • Working knowledge of government financial systems and operations.
  • Ability to multi task, work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • System and user interface experience.
  • Ability to train and support other team members (Sr. level).
  • Knowledge of configuration management practices.
  • MS Office Suite.
  • Design and documentation tools such as Visio, PowerDesigner, etc.
  • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience using XML and XSLT.
  • Data Modeling or Data Base Administration experience.
  • Prior government experience.
  • Knowledge of UI tools.
  • Knowledge of security access controls and identify management.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience as an architect on a cloud migration project.
  • Experience with designing for distributed architecture.
  • Experience with implementation architecture.
  • CodeBeamer or other collaboration tools.
  • Document and records management experience.
  • MS Visual Studio.
  • AJAX, HTLM, DHTML/XHTML, JavaScript, HTML5.
  • MS .NET, C# and ASP.NET.
  • Experience designing for virtual configurations.
  • Experience using REST approach in software development.
  • Experience in Agile development methodoligies, such as Scrum.
