ASRC Federal - Vistronix is currently seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer for a role on one of our subcontracts.  This full time position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an engaging, high-tech development environment, working with an excellent team and customer base. 

 

Qualifications

The ISSE shall have the following labor category qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Participate as a security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.

     

  • Participate as a security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation and/or integration of IA architectures, systems, or system components.

     

  • Participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.

     

  • Participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of IA architectures, systems, or system components.

     

  • Support the customer in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.

    Apply knowledge of policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.

  • Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.

     

  • Identify overall security requirements for the proper handling of customer data.

     

  • Interact with the customer and other project team members.

Job Specific Requirements:

  • Linux and Windows system administration; certifications a plus.
  • Fundamental knowledge of system security requirements.
  • Ability to author and maintain System Security Plans.
  • Ability to resolve security issues relating to ATO status.
  • Familiarity with using VMWare vSphere to create and manage virtual machines.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows networks and firewalls a plus.

This position requires an active Security Clearance.

 

Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph.  Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
