Vistronix offerings leverage its differentiated capabilities in big data analytic, cyber operations, cloud computing, signals processing, and geospatial decision support for government customers charged with our nation’s security.

 

In this role, you will put your experience to work in an engaging, high-tech development environment designing networks, designing and implementing cloud security, as well as maintaining systems security certification for a customer at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Responsibilities

As an IA Security Engineer, you will be responsible for interacting with customers to determine system requirements as well as integrating best business practices, cyber solutions, cryptographic solutions, and support system accreditation

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Determines enterprise information assurance and security standards.
  • Develops and implements information assurance/security standards and procedures.
  • Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for an organization. Recommends
  • information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements.
  • Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations.
  • Establishes and satisfies information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
  • Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies.
  • Applies know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
  • Performs analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.
  • Analyzes and defines security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes,workstations, and personal computers.
  • Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet security requirements.
  • Provides integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
  • Analyzes general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
  • Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

 

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or other related IT field and 2-5 years experience.
  • Adequate knowledge of Computer Network Defense (CND) activities, Vulnerability analysis through the use of Vulnerability scanner or comparable system, and DISA STIG validation experience
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of DIACAP, DCID 6/3, NIST RMF, ICD 503
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in active integration of Information Assurance into large network and systems, or support of DOD system DIACAP process
  • Knowledgeable in DOD Cryptographic solutions (ie,Taclanes, Viasat AltaSec, L3 HAIPEs) and key management systems/architectures (ie SKL, EKMS, KMI)
  • CISSP, CEH, Security+
  • An active Security Clearance is preferred to start work

Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required
