ASRC Federal - Vistronix is currently seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist for a role on one of our subcontracts.  This full time position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an engaging, high-tech development environment, working with an excellent team and customer base. 

Responsibilities

Candidate will lead a two person configuration management team responsible for configuration support to legacy/heritage systems.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  (1) supporting bi-weekly Engineering Review Boards, (2) facilitating bi-weekly Configuration Control Boards with the customer, (3) building/patching software for installation on integration, test, and production environments, (4) performing coordinated quarterly after-hours deployments to production, (5) maintaining ticket tracking system, (6) maintaining software configuration baseline, (7) CDRL storage and delivery, and (8) status reporting.

Qualifications

Candidate must meet the following labor category qualifications:

  •  Required - Shall have five (5) years experience developing, building, and managing CM systems for complex systems.
  •  Desired - Four (4) years experience in detailed management and oversight of a Contractor, including conducting requirements analysis, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring and reporting.
  •  Desired - Five (5) years experience working with development teams and project managers to develop and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc) supporting complex systems and project engineering development and support models.

Labor Category Specialized Experience:

  • Demonstrated technical writing skills and shall have generated at least two (2) documents or have passed a course in technical writing.
  • Experience with two (2) or more commercial software products used for configuration management and requirements documentation and tracking, preferably DOORS and Eclipse.
  • Five (5) years experience using and administering CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items.
  • Experience with ClearQuest including administration, updating forms, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Experience with Subversion.
  • Experience with Unix.
  • Experience deploying to WebLogic.
  • Experience building with Maven and Ant.
  • Familiarity with Jira.

This position requires an active Security Clearance.

                                                           

Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph.  Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
