Responsibilities

Responsible for leading the development of software and system tests. Duties include leading the development of test plans and test strategies, developing both automated test cases and manual test cases.  Successful candidates will implement required testing standards to determine the accuracy and reliability of software code.  Candidates will be responsible for monitoring and mentoring junior testers and leading the development of formal test plans / test reports.

Qualifications

Additional skills and experience sought for in applications include:

  • Ideal candidates will have 2-8 years of experience with software testing. 
  • Ability to creatively solve problems
  • Enthusiasm in learning and maintaining skills using the newest software coding, build, and test software tools and processes.
  • Experience developing software code test strategies and test plans
  • Candidates should have knowledge of writing test plans, completing manual test cases, and developing automated test cases.
  • Ability to utilize code automation testing tools to support both unit and system level software testing.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems
  • Enthusiasm in learning and maintaining skills using the newest software coding, build, and test software tools and processes.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of writing test plans, completing manual test cases, and developing automated test cases.
  • Familiarity with the following automated test technologies is a plus:  Selenium, Jasmine, Qunit, Karmaetc.
  • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Junit, Spring, BackboneJS, Tomcat, JBoss, Maven, Eclipse a plus
  • Experience in software programming helpful
  • Familiarity with Information Assurance / security code scanning tools such as Fortify
  • Experience integrating DevOps environments and utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud/virtualization technology a plus
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in cloud computing, virtualization, and cloud data management
  • Excellent design skills
  • Strong writing and communication skills and the ability to develop test cases, trouble ticket reports and communicate issues with developers
  • A Bachelor of Science degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.

 

Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
