ASRC Federal - Vistronix is currently seeking a Java Developer for a role on one of our prime contracts. This full time position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an engaging, high-tech development environment, working with an excellent team and customer base. 






  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other related discipline and five or more years of relevant JAVA programming experience to include at least two years of Java version 1.5+ and development of presentation tiers.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, candidate can substitute four additional years of relevant, full-time programming experience.
  • Two or more years of JSP and servlet programming experience.
  • Two or more years of experience with J2EE and enterprise web application design and development.
  • Two or more years of experience designing and writing REST-ful applications.
  • Ability to create and deploy applications in an Apache Tomcat web server. Java 1.4 Extensible Markup Language (XML) programming experience (JAXP 1.1).
  • Experience writing Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
  • Experience with Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Two or more years of experience programming on Linux platforms.
  • Two or more years of experience using one or more of the following revision control applications: git, Subversion (SVN), CVS, ClearCase.
  • One or more years of experience generating and documenting design specifications of system-level components in a UML-based tool (e.g. Confluence/Gliffy).
  • Two or more years of experience with test-driven development.
  • C++ desired, but not required

This position requires an active Security Clearance.


Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph.  Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
